ROBERT W. POTTER, LEED AP - President & CEO
Potter returned to Las Vegas in 1985 to join his father, Sammie Potter, and form Affordable Concepts, Inc. Since then, Potter has been the driving force behind the success at ACI and making the company one of Nevada’s leading commercial construction contractor companies, billing almost $60 million annually and employing some of Nevada’s most sought after construction contractors, designers, and project managers. Active in many community organizations, Potter is Past President of Associated General Contractors (AGC) and has served on the Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee since 1997. He was recently appointed City of Las Vegas’ Building and Enterprise Fund Advisory Committee. He has served on the Nevada State Public Works Board. He is a member of the Clark County Board of Appeals, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); Trustee level of the Nevada Development Authority (NDA); Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM); American Institute of Architects (AIA); and the Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas Chambers of Commerce and served as Chairman of the Las Vegas Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and Juris Doctorate from UNLV Boyd School of Law. Potter is also a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Las Vegas Board of Realtors since 1985. In 2009, he earned his LEED AP accreditation.
SCOTT WEISHEIM, CHC - Executive Vice President/Safety Director/Project Manager
Weisheim brings more than 20 years of commercial property construction management and contracting experience to ACI. Past achievements include working on a wide range of both small and large scale developments for both city and public works. After joining ACI in 1985, Weisheim has proven himself as a team player who plays a key part in developing and retaining productive employees and seeing that ACI’s projects effectively meet all goals. Weisheim has been an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) since 1998, is a member of the North Las Vegas Chamber, member of CertifiedCommercial Investment Member (CCIM) and plays an active role on AGC's Safety Committee. In 2010, Weisheim earned his Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation by the American Hospital Association. The CHC distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the critical field of healthcare construction.
IRL L. POTTER - Director/Project Manager
Irl Potter joined his brother and the father in the family business in 1990. Prior to coming on board at ACI, Potter worked for a commercial construction contractor in Alaska who specialized in home and condo remodeling. A vital asset to ACI, Potter actively participates in helping to ensure the future of the company as a leading commercial construction contractor in Las Vegas, Nevada.
NELSON CUMANA, CHC - Vice President/Project Manager
Cumana relocated from Florida in 1992 to join the ACI team and complete his Construction management degree. His work experience ranges from smaller tenant improvement developments to large commercial and industrial site management. His 20 years of dedication and leadership amounted to his promotion to Vice President in 2004. In this position, Cumana will proactively execute growing the business to remain one of Las Vegas’ leading commercial construction contracting companies and retaining the team’s key employee base. He is a member of the NorthLas Vegas Chamber of Commerce and is active on the Permits and Inspection Committee of AGC. In 2010, Cumana earned his Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation by the American Hospital Association. The CHC distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the critical field of healthcare construction.
BOB PALOCHIK - Vice President/Project Manager
ACI was fortunate to recruit Palochik in 1995 from another Las Vegas general contractor. He brings more than 30 years of construction project management experience to ACI, along with leadership skills, a team-oriented positive attitude, and solid task management abilities. As Vice President, Palochick actively participates in AGC’s Public Works Committee and is a vital component of the ACI team.
JULIE SCHOEFFLER - Office Manager
Schoefller has been a dedicated part of ACI’s team for more than 20 years and played an active role and helping ACI become a leading, respected commercial construction contractor in Las Vegas. Her dedication and tireless efforts contribute to ACI’s success and have played a huge role in making the company what it is today. Looking toward the future, Schoeffler’s oversight and knowledge of systems will continue to provide the support and direction for the success of the company.
JIM ASH – Estimator/Interior Designer/Project Manager
Since joining ACI in 1991, Ash has brought more than 24 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and working on an expansive scope of projects. As ACI’s estimator, computer and network administrator, and designer, Ash has contributed to the overall success and growth of the company. Ash also lends his talents to building business and relationships at industry tradeshows. His proven track record of individual and team performance has helped ACI become one of Las Vegas’ most trusted and reputable construction design companies.
