Affordable Concepts to build two phases at business park

Affordable Concepts, a Las Vegas-based general contractor, is building the next two phases at NorthPort Business Center, a 24-acre, master-planned business park next to North Las Vegas Airport.

Jackson-Shaw Co. is developing the project.

The contractor recently tilted up concrete walls for a two-story building that showcases an "evolving sophistication" for the area, said Mike Carroll, vice president of development for Jackson-Shaw.

Upgraded finishes on the building include a barrel-vaulted lobby ceiling, open staircase, ceramic tile, earth-tone carpeting, high-end wall coverings and marble countertops.

The building offers panoramic views of Las Vegas Valley from the Strip to surrounding mountains.

Affordable Concepts is also working on two single-story buildings with 66,000 square feet of flexible office-industrial space at NorthPort, which was the first major development in the Cheyenne Technology Corridor.

Estimated cost is $12 million for both phases; completion is expected in May.
