ROBERT “BOB” W. POTTER, CHC, LEED AP – President & CEO

In 1985, Potter and his father, Sammie, formed Affordable Concepts, Inc. Since then, Potter and his talented team have made ACI a success through honesty, loyalty and collaboration. Active in many community organizations, Potter is Past President of Associated General Contractors (AGC) Nevada Chapter and has served on the Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee since 1997. He was appointed to the City of Las Vegas’ Building Enterprise Fund Advisory Committee. He has served on the Nevada State Public Works Board and currently serves as a member of the Clark County Board of Appeals. Other professional and community organizations include UNLV Foundation; NAIOP; CCIM; AIA; CCIM; ASHE; Las Vegas HEALS; Leadership Las Vegas; Las Vegas Board of Realtors; National Association of Realtors; Nevada State Development Corporation; US Green Building Council – NV Chapter; as well as the Las Vegas and Henderson Chambers of Commerce. He serves as Trustee for the NDA and served as Chairman of the Las Vegas Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Potter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Juris Doctorate from UNLV Boyd School of Law. He is a licensed Nevada real estate broker and has been a member of the Las Vegas Board of Realtors since 1985. He has earned a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) from the American Hospital Association, LEED AP accreditation and a Commercial Environmental Certification from Green Advantage. He is OSHA 10 & 30 hour certified.


SCOTT WEISHEIM, CHC – Executive Vice President/Safety Director/Project Manager

Weisheim brings a wealth of commercial contractor experience to ACI. Past achievements include working on a wide range of both small and large scale developments for both city and public works. After joining ACI in 1985, Weisheim has proven himself as a team player who plays a key part in developing and retaining productive employees. He ensures ACI’s projects effectively meet all goals. Weisheim has been an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) since 1998, is a member of the North Las Vegas Chamber, ASHE and CCIM. He plays an active role on AGC’s Safety Committee. In 2010, Weisheim earned his Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation by the American Hospital Association. The CHC distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the critical field of healthcare construction. He has received a Citizen of Distinction Commendation from US Senator Harry Reid and Citizen of Distinction Honoree from Governor Gibbons.

Other professional and community organizations include EMT 1 & WEC Certification – National Ski Patrol; Health Facility Planning Design & Construction Certificate; Lean Construction Design; LMI Leadership Management; National Utility Competent Person – Underground trenching and is OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certified.


NELSON CUMANA, CHC – Vice President/Project Manager

Cumana relocated from Florida in 1992 to join the ACI team and complete his Construction management degree. His work experience ranges from tenant improvements to industrial as well as healthcare facilities. With 20 years of dedication and leadership, he was promoted to Vice President in 2004. In this position, Cumana proactively executes growing the business to remain one of Las Vegas’ leading commercial construction contracting companies and retaining the team’s key employee base. He is active on the Permits and Inspection Committee of the AGC. In 2010, Cumana earned his Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation by the American Hospital Association. The CHC distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the critical field of healthcare construction. He is a member of NAIOP; AGC; ASHE; Las Vegas HEALS; LCI and NFPA.

Professional designations and certifications include: AGC – Multiple Safe Site Awards; Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) – American Hospital Association; Citizen of Distinction from Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow; OSHA 30-hour Certified and Red Cross First Aid & C.P.R. certified.


PETER SEGEL, LEED AP – Sr. Project Manager

Segel has more than forty years of construction experience. He has managed many types of building construction projects, including: commercial low- and high-rise offices; commercial renovations; retail; medical facilities; hotels; multi-family housing; schools and educational facilities as well as parking structures. With over $800 million of projects in 12 states as well as Puerto Rico, Bermuda, and the Virgin Islands, he understands the importance of meeting schedules and budgets. A forward-thinking, action-oriented leader with experience in all aspects of the building business, Segel is a conscientious and meticulous manager.

Segel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, Interior Design and Construction.


TOM HOLLOWAY – Estimator

Almost a native Las Vegan, Holloway has worked in the Valley since graduation. His estimating background includes tenant improvements as well as ground-up construction on casinos, libraries, religious institutions, medical offices, restaurants, fire stations, condominiums, retail, and strip malls. The project ranged from $100,000 up to $23,000,000. He’s built strong subcontractor relationships with all trades.

Holloway received a Bachelors Degree in Construction Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2006.


AMALIA WATSON – Controller

In 1989, Watson began her accounting career in the Philippines. She is the head of the accounting department and is responsible for financial and managerial accounting. Her wide range of hands-on accounting experience and systems makes her a strong leader for ACI. She’s been in the Las Vegas area for over 10 years.

Watson earned her Bachelors Degree in Accounting in Manila, Philippines.
